Slavske ski resort village not far from Lviv

It is a village of decent size (approx. 4,000 people) located in pictures valley surrounded by mountains up to 1200 meters high. Most of present Slavske ski infrastructure was built in Soviet times although Poles started skiing here in early 20th century. Soon it became main winter sports center of the country untilBukovel took over the leadership position in recent years.

There are numerous ski and snowboard equipment rentals, so there is even no need to carry your stuff on.

Most of mountains surrounding Slavske are used as ski slopes with numerous lifts around. Most popular are Trostian and Zakhar Berkut. Both hills are equiped with chair lifts but offer relatively poor service.
Ski infrastructure (lifts and slopes) in Slavske didn’t develop much for last two decades but it is planned to be main base for Winter Olympics-2022, so hopefully the situation will change in the nearest future.
