Donetsk International Airport is located approx. 8 km north of the city center. Visit Airports in Ukraine page in order to find out about Donetsk airport directions.
Main Train station is located 6 km northwest of the city center and is well connected by public transport. Bus #2, Trolleybus #2 and Tram #1 will take you there from central Donetsk in 15-20 minutes.
If you want to buy train tickets or collect ’em after on-line booking go to centrally located Train ticket office on Univesrytetska str. 35. It will save you a few hours and you’ll avoid long lines at the train station.
Central Bus Station also known as Pivdennyi avtovokzal is only 1 km south of the city center and can be easily reached even on foot. Its address is: Komunariv square 4. Most buses going in southern direction to Black and Azov seas depart and arrive here.
A brand new Western Bus station serves most of long-distance buses including northern and central Ukraine. Its address is: Chervonoarmiyske hwy. 1.
City center is sandwiched between two water reservoirs. Donbass Arena that will be hosting 1/4 final of Euro-2012 football championship is just north of the downtown.
