Lufthansa directky links Munich with Kyiv, Lviv and Donetsk. Munich also serves as handy stop over to\from other German cities.
Kyiv is also connected with Cologbe/Bonn and Frankfurt.

By Bus
Getting from Germany to Ukraine by bus is a really long drive. Moreover, buses might be stuck for a few hours on Poland-Ukraine border. However people, mostly Ukrainians, still use it if there are no cheap flights towards their destinations.

Using train to get from Germany to Ukraine and back is probably better than a bus option. Even though Berlin – Kyiv takes more than 24 hours it is possible to stretch and walk a bit inside as opposed to bus option.

By Car
Car is a a great way to travel from Germany to Ukraine and back. The only obsacle might be Poland-Ukraine border. Many cars might form a long line resulting in a few hours of waiting.
Simply take E-40 highway. It is less than 700 km from German eastern border to Western Ukraine. The whole trip through southern Poland shouldn’t take more than 8 hours.
First big Ukrainian city is Lviv which is only 70 km from Poland-Ukraine border.
